Combining Protection with Instrumentation, Control
and Serial Communications. P&B through the industry standard GOLDS relay
has been at the forefront of Motor Protection in the UK and overseas for
over 60 years. The MR range introduced 10 years ago is already firmly established
as its successor, offering a Microprocessor alternative to the Electromechanical
relay.
The fully Draw-out MR Range also covers Generator, Transformer
Feeder and Auxiliary relays. MR Relays are used widely by Utilities and
Industry e.g. Power Stations, Distribution Systems, Oil Platforms, Refineries
and Petrochemical Complexes.
Recent products
In recent years we have introduced MICROVISION &
SUPERVISION two competitively priced modular ranges of (IP&C) Intelligent
MOTOR & FEEDER / TRANSFORMER Protection & Control. MICROVISION
provides low cost Feeder protection and direct connection to smaller Motors.
SUPERVISION is highly flexible and comes equipped with a fully graphical
LCD that displays the starting characteristic of a Machine. It can be
totally integrated with all the IP&C functions required by INTELLIGENT
LOW VOLTAGE & MEDIUM VOLTAGE SWITCHGEAR.
Communications
The largest project we have completed has over 6000
IP&C devices communicating serially via an RS 485 twisted pair network.
Currently we offer P&B Network Gold, Profibus and MODBUS RTU protocols
from the relays with RS485, RS232, RS422, Optical Fibre and ETHERNET output
communications options to DCS and SCADA packages.
