PCIM Engineering Software
To enhance the use of P&B Intelligent Protection Relays and Controllers, P&B have developed a powerful Engineering Software package that runs in Windows to present an easy to use range of interactive screens to the system user.

Animated Schematic
One of the main advantages of this software is the ability to view plant-specific information by means of an animated schematic diagram and dynamic graphical screens for relay and controller data.

Data Page
The data for the individual drives may be viewed on a single page, which incorporates real-time data and trends. A control option is available so that the user may operate drives, contactors and breakers from a single click of the mouse button. This feature is protected from use by unauthorised personnel with the built-in password hierarchy, in which different users may be granted a certain access level to operate the system.

Alarm Annunciation
Full event annunciation of all alarms and trips on every device is provided along with the facility to save events such as alarms, faults, starts, stops, etc. to disk as historical log files.

Historical Trends
Finally, for fault analysis, a Historical Trending function is available so that values relating to events that have occurred in the past may be analysed. The following are just some examples of screens available through PCIM.
