Power Supply Unit LV269
The LV269 is a low voltage, medium current power supply unit ideal for many educational and industrial laboratory uses. Its lightweight, rigidly constructed case houses generously rated components comprising: variable voltage transformer, low voltage transformer, full wave rectifier and smoothing capacitor. Tamper-proof fasteners are employed throughout.

The unit is protected by a one minute delay thermal type circuit breaker with reset button, and a 1 Amp mains fuse, 20mm H.R.C which can be replaced without removing the cover, mounted in the switch/socket assembly in the front panel.

The front panel is fitted with captive head terminals, which are colour coded Red and Black for d.c. supply, Yellow for a.c. supply and Green for earth connection.

The front panel carries calibrated a.c and d.c scales, with a central voltage control knob and single pointer, which is equipped with a locking device designed to limit the maximum voltage setting of the unit, thus preventing accidental damage to equipment connected to the unit.

The no-load terminal output voltages of the unit are 0-13V a.c. and 0-17V d.c. The front panel is calibrated for a nominal input of 240V 50Hz and both a.c. and d.c. ranges are continuously variable.

The maximum output from the unit on a.c. is 8 Amps at 11 Volts or d.c. 6 Amps at 11.6 Volts, continuous, or 8 Amps at 10 Volts d.c. for 1 hour rating.

The a.c. and d.c. outputs may be used simultaneously up to a maximum of 8 Amps (the outputs must not be interconnected externally).

The unit is mounted on rubber feet to facilitate stack storage and has a carrying handle to ease transportation. A cable assembly complying to BS4491.EN60.320 is supplied with a mains plug complying with ASTA BS1363A fitted with a 3 Amp fuse.
